Adding onto the deterrence of our STOP Security Plates, STOPLock goes to the next level to provide the ultimate theft prevention device. The combination of a STOP Security Plate and a Locking Cable system creates a double layer of protection. A specially-designed version of the STOP Security Plate allows a steel locking cable to snap into place, preventing “snatch-and-run” theft. Removing the cable for transport leaves the STOP Security Plate in place so that your equipment remains protected around the clock. Like the Standard and Small STOP Security Plates, the STOPLock Plate is attached with Very High Bond (VHB™) adhesive and clearly marks your equipment as an obvious liability for any would-be thief. Extremely difficult to remove, STOPLock Plates provide clear warning that your machine is registered and actively monitored.

 

If removed, STOPLock plates reveal a chemically-bonded tattoo beneath, stating “Stolen Property,” and high-visibility stickers to deter casual “walk-away” theft when untethered. Your ability to legally transfer your equipment is unhindered, but if it is ever stolen, the prominent display of the plate or the tattoo completely eliminates illicit resale value. Even a determined thief cannot remove this tattoo and its presence is virtually impossible to explain to potential purchasers.

 

Beyond theft deterrence, STOPLock Plates help to dramatically reduce administrative workloads while improving equipment security. 

 

The core of the lowest-cost, easiest-to-implement asset management system available, barcodes on each plate provide the unique serialization needed for tagged devices to be entered into the STOP Security Plate Online Registration System. 

 

Administrators can scan asset management information into the STOP registration system on-the-fly simply by using capabilities provided as part of the security system, or with our fully integrated Real-Time Asset Management System, STOPMonitor.

 

Each STOPLock Plate is marked with a unique registration number, a 24-hour toll-free recovery hotline number is on both plate and tattoo, as well as a website address. These provide an easy way for finders or thieves to “do the right thing.” The result is a dramatic increase in the incidence of recovery for STOP Security Plate equipped devices.

 

The STOPLock kit includes a STOPLock anchor plate, a 6-ft, steel locking cable with two keys, tattoo activating gel, and red warning sticker.
