It was originally found June 2024 at a FedEx station in Kennesaw, Georgia. Spoke with the admin of Village MD and he informed me that he will wok with FedEx to recover the laptop.
Received a call today from Brandon W. the Lead Transportation Security Federal Officer (TSA) at the Dallas Fort Worth airport. They found an HP Chromebook with a Stop Plate ID# at the security checkpoint. He informed me that they will hold it for 24 hours and after that it will be transferred to the Traveler Aid Office for holding. Contacted the large library that owned the laptop with details and the admin at the Library informed me that recovery is in process.

I received a call from a gentleman who explained that his wife, a former company employee that owned the device, has been attempting to return her company laptop for nearly a year. Despite multiple requests, they have not received a shipping label, and due to growing frustration, he is considering disposing of the laptop himself. A person recently purchased a used laptop in Iraq and noticed it had a “STOP Theft†security tag. Upon removing the sticker, they saw it is marked as “Stolen Property.†They requested we ensure this device is not stolen and to resolve any potential ownership issues.
